Espresso Martini Cocktail Recipe
Actually, Espresso Martini is not a Martini but it is served in a martini glass. Let’s start with the story and after we’ll go for the Espresso Martini recipe.
Back in the early 1980s, at the Soho Brasserie in London, Dick Bradsell created the first Vodka Espresso ever – a modern classic. According to the story, one of the world-famous supermodels asked for “something to wake her up, and fu.. her up”.
Immediately, the light bulb went “ping” above Dick’s head, and the great idea landed in his head. He did it by combining coffee and vodka with a little simple syrup added.
Important to realize, this cocktail is quite strong. It’s got sugar and caffeine and alcohol – all the legal drugs, elegantly packed. The following day, you’ll have a terrible hangover and serious dehydration if you drink more than two.
After the first glass, you’ll feel the effects of ecstasy and energy. Do not go for the second one immediately, better wait some time to pass.
Espresso Martini tastes sweet enough to disguise the taste of vodka. Also, this modern classic goes perfectly with a line of cocaine (just sayin’, we haven’t tried it). At the present time, Espresso Martini is among the top 10 most-ordered cocktails at U.S. bars in 2022. Furthermore, this cocktail dethroned Manhattan Cocktail like we’re in the ’90s again.
In short, it’s all about crema on top, So we could say that crema is the key. Well, we shouldn’t overlook other ingredients.
